Terms of Service & Shipper Compliance Rules

Last Updated: September 2026 · Governing Law: Indian Information Technology Act & Carriage by Road Act

1. Platform Role & Courier Aggregator Relationship

Shiperon (operated by Naveenkumar M K, registered in Tamil Nadu, India) operates as a technology aggregator and digital storefront provider connecting registered commercial merchants ("Shippers") with licensed third-party carrier service providers (including BlueDart, Delhivery, Shadowfax, Xpressbees, DTDC, and India Post). Shiperon does not own or operate courier delivery fleets; our platform facilitates automated waybill generation, rate optimization, electronic manifests, mini e-commerce catalogs, and unified billing.

2. Strictly Prohibited & Hazardous Goods

Shippers are strictly forbidden from tendering any of the following items for shipment via the Shiperon platform. Violation will result in immediate permanent account termination, forfeiture of wallet balance, and notification to law enforcement authorities:

  • Liquids, gels, and pressurized aerosols without certified leak-proof protective packaging.
  • Explosive, flammable, radioactive, corrosive, or oxidizing chemical compounds (Hazmat Class 1-9).
  • Counterfeit trademarked merchandise, pirated copyright materials, and fake designer goods.
  • Gold, bullion, precious gems, cash currency notes, negotiable instruments, and bearer bonds.
  • Firearms, airguns, ammunition, knives, swords, and lethal weapons.
  • Narcotics, psychotropic substances, and contraband strictly banned under the NDPS Act.
3. Weight Discrepancy & Dispute Protocol

Shipping rates are computed based on the greater of physical dead weight or volumetric weight: (L × B × H in cm) / 5000.

When a carrier’s automated laser scan hub registers a higher weight than the merchant’s declared weight, a Weight Discrepancy is generated. The merchant has 7 calendar days from the notification date to accept the charge or raise a dispute with clear photographic proof showing the parcel on a certified digital scale alongside measuring tape indicators.

4. Prepaid Wallet, Ledger Invariants & Remittances

All shipping charges are debited atomically from the Shipper’s prepaid wallet in whole Indian Paise (₹1 = 100 Paise). Shippers are responsible for maintaining a positive balance before dispatching orders. Cash on Delivery (COD) proceeds collected by carriers are remitted to the Shipper’s verified corporate bank account within 24 to 48 hours of confirmed delivery, less applicable carrier COD service fees.

5. Limitation of Liability & Loss in Transit

For lost, stolen, or physically damaged non-insured consignments, courier liability is capped at the courier standard maximum (typically ₹2,000 to ₹5,000 or declared invoice value, whichever is lower), subject to filing a formal carrier investigation claim within 72 hours of the delivery incident.

6. Legal Compliance & Grievance Redressal

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, any legal notices, carrier compliance notices, or unresolved merchant grievances may be directed to our Legal & Compliance Officer at .
